Editorial Policy

Last updated 25 October 2026•3 min read•Reviewed by MonopolyGo Daily Editorial Team

This page describes how we produce content. It exists so that readers, advertisers and search engines can see the standards we hold ourselves to, and hold us to them.

It covers how we research, how we verify game mechanics, when we use automated tools, how corrections work, and how advertising is kept separate from editorial judgement.

Editor’s note

Our editorial standard in one line: publish what we have verified, date it honestly, and correct it publicly when we are wrong.

What we publish

We publish practical Monopoly Go content: verified dice links, event and Golden Blitz tracking, strategy guides, and clear descriptions of our paid services. We do not publish speculation presented as fact, unattributed leaks, or content written purely to capture search traffic.

How we research

  1. Primary sources firstOfficial game announcements, in-game event descriptions and support documentation take precedence over everything else. If we cannot verify a rule against the game itself, we say so.
  2. Then first-hand testingMechanics such as multiplier behaviour, reward thresholds and trade limits are confirmed by playing, not inferred from other blogs. Where testing is not possible, the claim is attributed.
  3. Then community cross-checkCommunity reports are useful for speed and useless as proof. We treat them as leads to verify, never as a source on their own.

Sourcing and attribution

Where a claim comes from a specific source, we name it and link to it. We do not present another site’s reporting as original, and we do not copy text. If we are responding to something another publication got wrong, we say that explicitly and link to them.

Accuracy and freshness

Every guide carries a last-updated date. When game mechanics change, we update the page and change that date rather than leaving stale content in place. Time-sensitive pages — dice links, event schedules — are reviewed on the cadence they need, not annually.

A page is not finished when it is published

Monopoly Go changes constantly, so our pages are maintained, not archived. If a guide’s core mechanic has shifted, we rewrite the section instead of appending a note at the bottom.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly and openly. Factual errors are fixed in the body of the page, the last-updated date changes, and substantive corrections are noted so the fix is as visible as the original mistake. We do not quietly delete inconvenient sentences.

To report an error, email [email protected] with the page and what is wrong. We aim to respond within one working day.

Use of automated tools

We use software, including AI-assisted tools, to help with drafting, structuring and checking content. We do not publish automated output unreviewed. Every page is read by a human editor who is accountable for its accuracy before publication, and no page is generated solely to fill a keyword.

Advertising and independence

Our editorial judgement is not for sale. We do not accept payment for a favourable review, we do not sell links, and we do not publish sponsored posts disguised as editorial. Where we do publish clearly labelled sponsored content, it is marked as such at the top of the page, and it is not presented as our own recommendation.

Display advertising on the site is sold programmatically and is not individually negotiated with editorial. Advertisers have no sight of, or influence over, what we write.

Our own paid services

We sell carries and sticker fulfillment, and we write about the events those services relate to. We manage that conflict by being explicit: services are described with prices and inclusions on the services page, they are clearly marked as paid, and guides do not pretend a paid service is required to succeed at the game.

Comments and community

Where we host community discussion, we moderate for scams, abuse and credential phishing. We remove posts that attempt to obtain another player’s account details. Moderation decisions are not editorial endorsement of the views that remain.

Complaints

If you believe we have breached this policy, tell us directly before escalating. Complaints go to [email protected], are read by a human, and receive a substantive response — not a template.

Frequently asked questions

Do you use AI to write content?

We use AI-assisted tools for drafting and checking, but every page is reviewed by a human editor who is accountable for its accuracy before publication.

How do you handle corrections?

Factual errors are corrected in the body of the page, the last-updated date changes, and substantive corrections are noted openly.

Do advertisers influence your content?

No. Advertising is sold programmatically and is not negotiated with editorial. We do not accept payment for favourable coverage.

How do you source claims about the game?

Official announcements and in-game descriptions first, then first-hand testing, then community reports as leads to verify rather than proof.
